Fall season
Four sports. Youth and adult. One league.
Rivermark runs recreational leagues for players from age 5 to adult: balanced teams, volunteer coaches, trained officials and four shared venues, with one league office making the calls that keep it all running and fair.
- Ages 5 to adult
- 4 sports, 3 seasons
- 4 shared venues
- Volunteer coaches, trained officials

Pick a sport
Pick a ball. Or pick all four.
Every sport runs as a recreational league: the league builds balanced teams, keeps equal playing time in youth divisions, and assigns trained officials who explain the call.

Soccer
Our largest program. Small-sided games for the youngest players, full-field 11v11 from age 13, and a coed adult league under the lights on Thursday nights.

Basketball
Winter indoors at the Ridgeline and Millbrook gyms. Youth on Saturdays, adults on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, 7-week season plus a single-elimination playoff.

Baseball
Tee ball at 5, coach pitch at 7, kid pitch from 9. Youth games at Cottonwood Diamonds with a strict 90-minute limit. Adult slow-pitch on Sunday afternoons in summer.

Volleyball
Indoor sixes for youth 11 and up and for adults, with open, coed and women's brackets. Summer adds grass fours on the Cottonwood lawn with no scorekeeper.
Players may register for more than one sport per season if the schedules do not overlap.
Season board
The year at Rivermark
Three seasons, four sports. Registration closes ten days before each season starts so we can build balanced rosters and assign coaches.

Weather and field conditions move things. When they do, the league office makes the call and tells the divisions, teams and officials it affects. The schedule on this page stays the place to check times and fields.
Fields and gyms
Four shared venues, all within a short drive of each other.
Field and gym assignments are posted with the schedule on this site each week. Parking, restrooms and shade at every site.
Outdoor fieldsBrightwater Soccer ComplexFlagship
Six grass fields and one lighted turf field. Home to all youth soccer and the adult Thursday night league. Closes on lightning.
- Indoor courts
Ridgeline Gym
Two full courts with bleachers. Primary site for basketball games and winter volleyball, and where the winter championship bracket is played.
- Indoor court
Millbrook Rec Gym
One court with a low ceiling and a great sound system. Youth practices, the 7-and-under division, and overflow volleyball.
- Ballfields and lawn
Cottonwood Diamonds
Three diamonds sized for tee ball, coach pitch and full baseball, plus the lawn where summer grass volleyball sets up its nets.
Field reassignments happen. When a division moves, the league sends the change to that division, and a separate message to Officials.
Divisions
Youth by age band, adults by how much you want to run.
Youth divisions are set by age on September 1, and the league places every youth player on a team. Adult teams choose a division when they register, and the league may move a team that is winning 40 to 2.
Little Kickers and Tee Ball (5 to 6)
No scores kept, every kid touches the ball, parents welcome on the field. Forty minutes and a snack.
Youth 7 to 9
First real teams and first real scores. Small-sided soccer, coach pitch, and a basketball hoop lowered to 8 feet.
Youth 10 to 12
Full rules, referees, standings and a playoff. Equal playing time is still the rule, not a suggestion.
Youth 13 to 17
Full-field soccer, regulation basketball, kid pitch and indoor volleyball. Many of our teen referees started here.
Adult Recreational
Coed and open brackets for players who want a weekly game and a reason to see friends. Each team has a captain, and every adult player gives their own email address at registration. Beginners are genuinely welcome.
Adult Competitive
Faster, louder, still friendly. Standings matter, playoff seeding matters, and the championship gets a real trophy.
For coaches, captains and officials
You do not need a whistle. We have plenty.
Every Rivermark youth team is coached by a volunteer, usually a parent, and every adult team has a captain. We run a two-hour orientation before each season, hand coaches a practice plan for the first three weeks, and pair first-year coaches with someone who has done it before. Your team's own chat stays yours.
Officials are trained adults and teen referees from our 13-to-17 division. They belong to the league, not to either team. Our referee coordinator runs a pre-season clinic and posts every game assignment in the assigning system; the league office tells officials directly when a field, a time or a league policy changes.
- Two-hour orientation and a written practice plan for weeks 1 to 3
- Background check for every adult working with youth players
- Teen referee program from age 14
- Game assignments live in the assigning system; league decisions come from the league office

I captain a Thursday night coed team and I referee 10-to-12 soccer on Saturdays. Two different sides of the same league. On a Saturday I'm on neither team, and I still need to know when a field closes. At Rivermark it's the league office that tells me.
When the league makes a call
One Saturday decision, from the league to both sides of every game.
A Saturday morning at Brightwater, told the way it works here. An example, not a record of a real day.

The field coordinator checks
At 6:15 the field coordinator walks Brightwater. Fields 3 and 4 are under water.
The league makes the call
At 6:30 the league office cancels the four 10-to-12 soccer games on those fields: eight teams, both sides of every game, and the officials assigned to them.
Two messages, from the league
One goes to Youth 10-12 Soccer, one to Officials. The league chooses both audiences; nobody works it out automatically, and coaches don't have to pass anything on.
Teams keep their own chats
Coaches still run their team's own chat for practices, lineups and rides. Makeup dates go on the league schedule and are announced by the league.
League updates
The league makes the call. Both teams hear it from the league.
Rivermark uses LeagueBlasts for the decisions the league makes: field and venue changes, weather calls, game time changes, officials' policies, league deadlines, registration, the postseason and volunteer needs. Each message goes from the league office to the one group it concerns.
When a field closes, both teams in every affected game, and the officials working them, hear it from the league in the same words, instead of through each coach. Everyone on our list gets league messages by email, with nothing to install, and anyone who connects on Blasts with the same email address gets them there instead.
For youth teams we reach the parent or guardian who registered the player; in adult divisions we reach the players themselves. Team conversations stay in each team's own chat.

The league places people in divisions, teams, Coaches & Team Contacts and Officials; nobody picks their own team or signs themselves up as an official. Volunteer Opportunities is the one list you choose for yourself.
Power your Blasts with credits from BlastCredits.com.
Blasts is the direct communication platform at Blasts.app. Everyone receives Rivermark's messages by email until they choose to connect on Blasts, and anyone can stop receiving them at any time.
Registration, rosters, the schedule, standings and official assignments stay in Rivermark's league systems. LeagueBlasts carries the league's calls, and each team's own chat stays the team's.
- Brightwater Fields 3 and 4 closed this morning
League decision for today: all 10-to-12 soccer games on Brightwater Fields 3 and 4 are cancelled; the fields are under water. Please don't travel to Brightwater. Makeup dates will be posted on the league schedule.

How registration works
Ready for the fall season? Start with the calendar.
Registration takes about five minutes: a sport and division, and an optional coach or friend request for youth players. Adult teams register with a captain, and every player adds their own email address. Coaches and captains hear from the league before the season opens.
League office
Talk to a human at the league
Two part-time staff and a rotating crew of board volunteers answer registration questions, schedule conflicts and the occasional lost cleat.
- Office hours Monday to Thursday, 4:00 to 7:00 PM
- Game-day field contact posted at every venue
- Lost and found lives at the Brightwater shed
